According to affected users, clicking on a video in the Reddit app on iOS plays a random incorrect video from somewhere else on the platform. Now, a section of Reddit users is reportedly facing an issue on the platform. However, Reddit, like many other online platforms, isn’t immune to the occasional outages and glitches we have come to associate with platforms with a global reach.

Reddit prides itself in being the ‘front page of the internet’ and in the past few years, we’ve seen the social platform gaining a lot of users, users who aren’t exactly fans of mainstream social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. We use these platforms to stay in touch with family and friends, to stay abreast with current happenings, for business, and everything in between. Social media has got to be one of the biggest inventions in the digital age and today, social media platforms are the in-thing. From there, just select "Image/Video," click "Camera" to record a new video or "Library" to select one in your camera roll, add a title, and click "Post" to submit.New updates are being added to the bottom of the story… Original story (from July 16) follows: To upload a video from your desktop, click "Submit Link" on a video-enabled subreddit, then click "Choose File," select the video to upload, choose a thumbnail, add a title, and click "Submit." On Reddit's mobile apps, click "Post something interesting" at the top of your "Home" feed (or click "Post to r/_" on a video-enabled subreddit). This way you can "transition seamlessly between viewing, lurking, and commenting on Reddit videos," Reddit wrote. The video platform keeps a small preview window open at the top of the screen as you browse the comment below. "Best of all, you can watch Reddit video while you read comments and engage in conversation," Reddit wrote.

Reddit allows only MP4 and MOV files up to 15-minutes long. If you're on a desktop, you can select a video from your files to upload. You'll now be able to record video within the official Reddit apps or select a pre-recorded video from your gallery, then upload it right to the platform. Reddit also introduced native video ads earlier this year. The move comes after Reddit last year ditched Imgur in favor of its own image upload tool. No third-party uploads, new tabs, or back arrows necessary." "With native video, we've streamlined this process dramatically, allowing both content creators and commenters to focus on the conversation taking place on Reddit. This "time-consuming, circuitous process…inhibited many users, especially those who capture videos on their phones and want to share them quickly with their favorite subreddits," Reddit wrote. This is certainly a welcome change up until now, Reddit users had to upload the video to a third-party hosting platform, then post the link to Reddit to share it there. This new feature "makes it easier than ever for Redditors to capture, upload, and share videos and gifs with all their favorite communities," Reddit wrote in a blog post. Reddit on Thursday announced that it is rolling out native video hosting so users can upload videos directly to the platform. Heads up, Reddit users: The "front page of the Internet" is getting a lot more video friendly.
